What I Like to Eat
Whiska's cat food and these Purina Whisker's Delights cat treats. Also... Pup-peroni. =/ And if they're feeling generous I'll get a minuscule amount of smoked lake trout and grilled salmon.
What I like to do
Terrorize my owners... Just kidding. I enjoy gazing out the window at the ground below, wondering what everything is. I like to play with my catnip mice when they allow it (I get pretty rambunctious after a few seconds of those being in my presence) and my stick with a fuzzy rope and feathers on the end of it is my favorite, I've nearly destroyed it. I also enjoy running around the apartment, scaling the chairs and counters, which I always feel compelled to knock things off of.
I love to be held by my female owner and have my belly rubbed by my male owner.
Where we'd go if I got to choose the destination of our next vacation
Probably no where as I like the indoors and the city. I've vacationed enough in the country and didn't like it too much.
How I came to be in the care of my owner
I was found as a kitten in the woods after being attacked by some large, scary animal that left some marks on my eyes (that aren't too visible anymore). I was rescued by this nice lady from an animal shelter in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin. Somehow, a cute little couple all the way in St Paul, MN discovered I was incorrectly labeled as a Korat mix. I resemble a Korat, but I don't think I am one, yet the lady who rescued me labeled me so. And this is how my female owner came across me since my male owner specifically wanted a Korat kitten.
They traveled a good 4 hr drive all the way to Medford, WI to pick me up. I was shy at first and wouldn't really let them pet me. The whole drive back all I heard was loud banging noises [thunder - we went through a huge storm on the way back] yet somehow I made it safely back to this different place that's high up in the sky. They aptly named me Susa and I've been happy and well taken care of ever since!
A bit of info about his name:
Susa is short for Susanoo, which was the Shinto god of the sea and storms. Susanoo is also known in our favorite anime/manga, Naruto Shippuden, as one of the main character's ultimate defense mechanism. And as noted, we brought him back during a storm and if you look at his picture he's obviously a black/darker colored cat (he has bits of white and areas on his belly that are more grey). On top of this, we're pretty avid Naruto fans and wanted a name with a bit more meaning to it as opposed to something more superficial. Also, his original name given to him by the lady at the shelter was Soot, so taking all of these factors into account, we decided to name him Susa. It's short, similar to his previous name, relates to both his appearance yet signifies how he came to us and has a hidden nerdy meaning.
