What I Like to Eat
Just about everything...fruits, vegetables, meat, and especially anything mom is eating. I'm adept at swooping up anything that may fall on the kitchen floor. Sometimes I like to raid the trash when she is asleep...she tends to find out when I leave evidence like tissues and dental floss.
What I like to do
I like to wipe my face on the couch or bed after I've taken a drink, despite the fact that mom tells me not to every time I do it. I like to pant loudly and create toenail indentations on my mom if she hits the snooze button too many times. I like to go for walks and try to chase things that are useless to chase, like cats, birds, and cars.
Where we'd go if I got to choose the destination of our next vacation
I have no real preference...as long as I get to go along! I'll go anywhere...I adapt fairly quickly. Mom travels a lot for work, so I hit the kennel then, but I don't even mind that much anymore.
How I came to be in the care of my owner
I was rescued by her in Nov. 2003 (that is why she guesses my birthday at the end of November...that's when she adopted me...I was five at the time). According to the rescue organization, I was surrendered by my former owners when they moved from the East coast and couldn't find a rental that accepted dogs. I do have a somewhat unusual personality...I am wary of strangers until I get to know them, and I sort of don't understand how to play with other dogs, but I'm always super-excited to meet both dogs and humans! I have a fairly high anxiety level, which can be completely absent or appear wickedly bad at random times. My mom understands me well and we have had a great relationship for the past five years.
