What I Like to Eat

The princess approves of any and all meats, eggs, pasta or any combination therein.... pasta carbonara? Certainly!

What I like to do

Eat, be petted (especially by shopkeepers a.k.a. holders of biscuits and mommy's credit cards), sleep on the people furniture, Guard her house (from the people furniture) and Eat some more!

Where we'd go if I got to choose the destination of our next vacation

The Princess has no interest in leaving the people-bed unless pasta is involved. Possibly for a steak, but really, she loves her Italian cooking.

How I came to be in the care of my owner

The Princess in a past life was kept by mean people who abused her in dogfights. When she was obtained by the authorities, she was weak, sick, emaciated and bloody. She was TERRIFIED of people, and anytime she saw a hand she would cry and try to hide.
On my boyfriend's birthday we went to a shelter, where out of ALL the people there- she picked us. Literally leaped up and put her paws on him- which none of the shelter people could believe. She then rolled over to get her belly rubbed. She was covered in scars.
She was very insecure and fearful. I would make pork chops and she would gobble up the bones, afraid i would take it away. She ate pasta with a little more restraint- I would rub shea butter on her scars and they started to heal.
Pretty soon, she filled out and her fur became plush, glossy and lustrious.
Two weeks into ownership, a man on the street tried to attack me. He didn't get past the initial threat-- ever since, Ravenna has become more secure, even imperious in nature. We spoil her relentlessly (and have never encountered another threat!)

The story of the Princess moved me to tears! Being an animal lover myself, I highly respect and admire people who give love and home to such innocent, helpless and vulnerable creatures like her. And, no need to say - I fell in love with Ravenna. Such a cutie!
