What I Like to Eat

Only dog food. I've never had human food or treats before so I turn my nose up at the smell of it.

What I like to do

I love to play with my siblings. I also love to army crawl across the floor. Since I lived in a cage my whole life (until 4 days ago) it was the only way I could scratch my belly. I am starting to learn about the luxuries of living in a house with soft and warm things, so I will probably be adding to this list in the near future. *****My mom says I will definitely be getting some new pictures taken of me soon.

1st day home1st day home

so this is that thing called grass?!!!!so this is that thing called grass?!!!!

I like to crawl around on the rug cause I'm sillyI like to crawl around on the rug cause I'm silly

Where we'd go if I got to choose the destination of our next vacation

As of now, I would stay in my new house.

How I came to be in the care of my owner

I lived in a cage at a nasty puppy mill. I had lots of sex and made lots of puppies. It was really gross there. I saw dead dogs and dirty stuff. I had not been held by a human until the SPCA came and raided the puppy mill two weeks ago. We were on the news. They took me and 300 of the other dogs I lived with. I was infested with fleas. The SPCA cleaned me up, did a surgery on me so I can't have anymore babies, and then put me in a concrete cage. I was roomies with a Brussels Griffon who was really nervous. Even though I am only 4 lbs, I had to stay in the big dog room which was soooo loud. My new momma came and got me 4 days ago. At first she thought I was missing hair because I needed better food, but the vet said it is because I am 1/2 Chinese Crested. I have funny bald places all over my body... my back is bald and so is my head except for a skinny, white, spikey mohawk on my head. My mom was going to name me Mo, but she and my new dad couldn't stop calling me Iggy, so that is my name. I feel proud to finally have a name after 9ish years of living without one. At the SPCA they called me Upshur County 38. My mom says I am doing very well and learning very quickly.

The newest member of the family? So handsome! Although I can't stop laughing at your description - "I had lots of sex and made lots of puppies" - you should have called him Hugh Hefner

I'm so glad all those dogs were rescued. I can't believe he's 9 yrs old, he's got such a puppy face

OMG, I just read the link of where he was living (I missed it the first time around). Those poor dogs. I'm so happy you saved little Iggy. And thank God someone finally alerted the Sheriff's office. I can't believe stuff like this actually happens. People like this idiot woman make me soooo angry! Angry Mob Please give little Iggy many hugs and kisses from me.

Iggy is AMAZING. I used to foster and rescue dogs and its incredible how people can mistreat them. I hope that mean lady is mistreated in jail for MANY years!

AWWW! What a sad story with a happy ending, it brought tears to my eyes hearing about how he used to live. It takes a great human being, like yourself, to step up to the plate and show an animal what true love really means. I am so happy that Iggy has a loving and caring home and parents now. Smiling
