How I came to be in the care of my owner
A family had an unexpected litter of puppies, and I was one of them! My mom had recently moved to Los Angeles, and wanted a dog, but had no idea what she was in for!
I need some pet advice: I have a 7 year old male German Shepherd mix that I've had since he was a puppy. He has grown out of his excessive hyper stage, and is use to just being around me. He has never had problems being around other dogs, but recently a new dog in the apartment was walking by my open door and my dog bit him (it wasn't really an attack, but it was the first time he had acted like that). My parents recently got a Wheaten Terrier male that is now 10 months old. Their dog is VERY hyper and playful! I have always taken my dog to my parents' house (in another state) for Christmas, but now I'm afraid of how the dogs will get along. Will one of them be territorial? Will my dog not tolerate the new puppy's antics? What would be the BEST way to socialize them?
