How I came to be in the care of my owner
I originally joined the household as a foster dog, with a TON of issues. I was abused by my former owners, and have a lot of emotional scars to show for it. I am the sweetest dog alive if I know you, but if I don't know someone I get really scared and try to act tough so they won't hurt me. Mommy says it's because I act tough that I didn't find a home when I went to adoption events. After not being adopted for several months, Mommy and Daddy decided that I should have a permanent home and said I could stay with them. I was so happy! That's just what I wanted all along! Mommy understands me better than anyone else, so I wanted to stay with her. She takes good care of me now, and I'm starting to learn to trust people, but it's a long hard road for me.
