Sometimes I have to stay IN for safety.Pedigree Canned Dog Food and any People Food that is not good for me.
What I like to do
Go everywhere in the Car. Hunt for mice and chipmunks. Chew up pillows and comforters and pull out the stuffing.
Where we'd go if I got to choose the destination of our next vacation
On a hunting trip wherever little animals are that I can chase. I love to burrow under the wood pile or even in the snow, sniffing out other animals.
How I came to be in the care of my owner
Adopted at 6 weeks old from a Minature Dauchund Rescue. I am a rare color. It is called "Dapple" and is very rare to get this color in a Female Minature.

Katie is about 10 yrs old and still a very active dog.
1She sits on my chair while I am at the computer and watches the pages load. She especially likes card games where the cards flip up on the screen.
She also barks when the telephone rings.
She is very protective of me and sometimes acts like she is a doberman instead of a little minature. She will take on anything that seems to threaten me even if it is 10 times her size.
She is a site hound and will chase any small animal for a fun hunt. Since dauchunds like to burrow, she will burrow under the wood pile or under the covers on my bed and sleep completely covered. She also has a sense of time and knows exactly when it is 6 PM. Time for her food. Or when it is time to go to bed.
She recognizes My car and my daughter's car.
She also knows that she gets a treat after we have gone on a trip somewhere in the car and she has been a good dog.
